Electrical Engineer

Qualifications:

Responsible for detailed calculations to compute and establish industry and customer standards and/or specifications the analysis or development of cable schedules, conduit layouts and the preparation of electrical engineering drawings which include or accommodate the specifications of the electrical systems and which conforms to industry standards and customer needs. Perform Arc-flash analyzes as well as voltage drop calculations and grounding requirements per NEC. Develop, design and improve electrical systems, one-line power diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and loop diagrams for drafters Must be competent to use AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Office software and SKM Software. Must be able to apply NEC code, NFPA, Arc Flash and other industry standards. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Electrical Draftsman I

Qualifications:

Mid States Technical Services (MSTS) is seeking an experienced, organized and efficient AutoCAD Drafter who is able to make decisions, work independently, and work as a supporting member of our team. This candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD (paper space and model space) and have experience in MEP drafting, electrical preferred. Complete understanding and application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's of Science preferred, but not required
  • Experience in an A/E/C environment
  • Knowledge of drafting techniques and familiarity with MEP engineering terminology
  • Efficient and accurate drafting with adherence to CAD standards
  • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Electronic Project File Management Skills
  • Excellent time management and an extremely high level of attention to detail
  • Effective written, verbal communication skills.
  • AutoCAD and Microsoft Office proficiency required
Experience:
  • 5 - 8 years of experience (or Associates Degree & 4 years of experience) in facilities creating mechanical drafting/design drawings preferably in Meter Stations, Pump Stations, Launcher/Receivers, Main Line Valves, Compression Stations and As built drawings. Operate as the record keeper for electrical projects
  • An advanced understanding and knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education/Training:
  • 5 - 8 years of experience (or Associates Degree & 4 years of experience) in facilities creating electrical drafting/design drawings preferably in Meter Stations, Pump Stations, Launcher/Receivers, Main Line Valves, Compression Stations and As-builts ability to obtain TWIC within 3 months of hire. Formal degrees are able to be substituted for significant relevant work experience.
Must have a strong working knowledge of the following:

Mechanical Drafter I

Qualifications:

Mid States Technical Services (MSTS) is hiring for a Mechanical Drafter I. Our ideal candidate will be able to understand and interpret codes and specifications related to design requirements while working collaboratively with Project Managers, Engineers and Designers in a team environment to resolve design/drawing issues to accomplish project objective. Complete understanding and application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Drafter will also verify accuracy and completeness of all deliverable products and services in assigned areas of responsibility. He/she will assist in administration, setting up, specifications, and create complete mechanical packages. The candidate needs the ability and skill level to organize, as well as understand the scope of work involved. Drafter required to show all required information such as all dimensions and references needed. Strong written and oral communication skills as well as effective listening skills are a necessity. Our Mechanical Drafter needs to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the engineering field and have exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and be able to deliver quality. Lastly, our candidate will need to be accurate, timely, independent, and work effectively with employees, managers, customers and contractors. Able to work from and create field sketches and notes.

Experience:
  • 5 - 8 years of experience (or Associates Degree & 4 years of experience) in facilities creating mechanical drafting/design drawings preferably in Meter Stations, Pump Stations, Launcher/Receivers, Main Line Valves, Compression Stations and As built. Operate as the record keeper for projects.
  • An advanced understanding and knowledge of AutoCAD, knowledge of how to use SKM Power Tools Software a plus
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education/Training:
  • 5 - 8 years of experience (or Associates Degree & 4 years of experience) in facilities creating mechanical drafting/design drawings preferably in Meter Stations, Pump Stations, Launcher/Receivers, Main Line Valves, Compression Stations and As-builts TWIC card is a plus.
